In “Through the Veil of Perception,” Ernesto Artig explores the layers of human thought and emotion, intertwining abstract forms and bold lines to evoke the interplay between clarity and distortion. The central motif—a series of fragmented profiles—emerges from a lattice-like structure and offers a subtle, serene smile. This smile conveys resilience and optimism, 
 the strength found in individuality even amidst external constraints., suggesting the delicate balance between personal identity and the external influences that shape it.
 
Artig’s use of pastel hues juxtaposed with dynamic brushstrokes creates an atmosphere of both calm and chaos, highlighting the complexity of perception. The grid-like backdrop, softened by translucent blues, represents societal frameworks, while the fluid, colourful lines cutting through them symbolise individuality breaking free from constraint.
 
The viewer is drawn to the interplay between linear rigidity and organic fluidity, prompting questions about how we perceive ourselves and others. Do we see clearly, or are we looking through the veils of assumption, bias, or emotional projection?
