Threshold of Silence by Ernesto Artig embodies a meditative interplay between form and void. A single, dominant field of deep ultramarine cuts vertically through the canvas, dividing space with quiet insistence. Its textured surface holds subtle tonal shifts—an echo of emotional undercurrents within a disciplined structure.
 
Flanking the blue are expanses of pale, near-white layers, their gentle arcs revealing traces of movement and warmth beneath apparent stillness. These curved strokes seem to pulse outward, as if responding to the gravity of the central form. The composition becomes a moment of still confrontation: between control and surrender, between containment and quiet resonance.
